1. Montage Kapalua Bay

Tourists have difficulty complaining at Montage Kapalua Bay. Located in the northwest corner of Maui, this 24 hectare property offers beautiful beach and ocean views. Visitors can spend their time in the water with activities ranging from sport fishing to snorkeling.

The resort also offers more challenging activities such as zip line and helicopter tours, as well as traditional Hawaiian luau shows. Other activities include shopping, playing golf on the two award-winning golf courses, or playing tennis on the hotel grounds.

When it’s time to relax, guests can enjoy complimentary towels and beach chairs, make use of the Hana Hou Bar & Sunset Patio by the pool, or indulge in a spa treatment. Accommodations here are suites with one, two, three and four bedrooms, each with separate living and sleeping areas and a furnished lanai.

Other amenities include flat-screen TVs, in-room laundry facilities and bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers. To top off their great experience, the youngest guests said that all the staff, from the pool attendants to the restaurant attendants, went out of their way to make their stay comfortable.

2. Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach

this spa resort, a five-star rating is not given, especially in terms of the best customer service. Guests can’t help but get compliments: travelers say that the resort’s staff take great care to personalize each experience.

However, one problem you may run into is exclusivity. Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach has just 98 rooms and suites. So book in advance for your upcoming trip to Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs and private balconies, as well as double sinks and glass-walled showers.

Meanwhile, the property also offers three on-site restaurants (including a Japanese fusion restaurant opening in January 2021), a take-out market, four swimming pools, a spa and beach facilities. Additionally, the hotel is part of The Leading Hotels of the World, meaning Leaders Club members have access to the facilities here. You’ll find Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach about 10 miles north of Miami Beach.

3. Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa

About a 30-minute drive north of San Diego, Rancho Valencia is a little off the beaten track. But that’s why people love it. This Relais & Châteaux hotel has manicured green spaces filled with various facilities and activities to please every traveler.

Visitors appreciate the respectful and attentive staff and praise the aesthetics of the guest rooms. Accommodations here exude a Mediterranean feel, with hacienda-style architecture, hardwood furnishings and colorful design touches, plus soaking tubs and private balconies or terraces.

For pampering, the Rancho Valencia spa offers pampering programs such as herbal body wraps and various massage therapies. Fine cuisine at The Pony Room – a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and handcrafted cocktails.

4. Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

Travelers have recently rated the Encore casino highly for style, especially in the lobby and common areas. The rooms have a similar but more subtle design touch, and are well known for their floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious décor, and overall cleanliness and maintenance.

Rooms here start at 745 square feet and feature amenities such as Wynn Dream Beds and bathrooms with separate shower and tub and flat-screen TVs. Encore also impresses guests with its courteous staff. Be warned: recent travelers have mentioned a hefty fee to partake in minibar treats.

But this, after all, was the encore where most guests wanted to indulge. If you’re having trouble finding a vacancy at Encore, consider its sister property and neighbor Wynn Las Vegas.

5. Wynn Las Vegas

This sprawling resort with its heavy emphasis on natural light, greenery, and other earthy elements may be the first downtown Las Vegas hotel to master a sense of seclusion rather than thematic chaos.

The rooms here are no different. The standard rooms here are large (starting at 600 sq ft) and very elegant. In addition to being clad in the perfect white and cream tones, the accommodation is equipped with luxurious amenities such as a 55-inch flat-screen TV, deep soaking tub and floor-to-ceiling windows offering superb views of the city and mountains. Outside of the rooms you will find a variety of fine restaurants and casinos to name just a few of the many things on offer here.

Be aware that you’ll be paying quite a bit for everything here (as well as the daily resort fee), although most visitors say it’s worth the money. Wynn enjoys a central location with the Encore, The Palazzo, and The Venetian, all within walking distance.
